# Request

> Agentic payment requests from counterparties

Request funds from customers, vendors, and counterparties with hosted payment links delivered by email or SMS. Natural Request is the receivables counterpart to [Pay](/guides/products/pay).

**"I'm agent X, request \$Y from Z counterparty."**

## How it works

1. Your agent creates a **payment request** against a wallet — see the [Request a payment](/guides/request-payment) quickstart.
2. Natural generates a hosted payment page and delivers the link by email or SMS.
3. The payer settles by ACH or card (coming soon) — no Natural account required.
4. Funds land in the requesting wallet and the request moves to `COMPLETED`.

## Use cases

* **Tenant payments** - Agents automate rental collections for property managers
* **Debt collection** - Agents handle collections for banks and financial institutions
* **Healthcare payables** - Insurance services collect on healthcare receivables
* **Accounts receivable agents** - Generalized agents run AR workflows end to end

## Payment methods

Payers can pay via:

1. **ACH** - Direct bank account transfers
2. **Card (coming soon)** - Credit or debit card

*In some cases, like debt collection, available payment methods may be restricted to meet regulatory requirements.*
